This pattern was inspired by all the women who fought so hard and sacrificed so much for women’s right to vote. The right to vote wasn’t just given to women. There were numerous movements to make it happen and some movements and activists were more extreme than others. According to the movie ‘Suffragette’, these women would bring each other flower bouquets after they were released from police custody. This print features small bouquets with hydrangeas for gratitude, black-eyed Susans (symbol of strength) and bluebirds, which were often a symbol that the Suffragettes used.
The pattern was drawn and designed by me and screen printed using water-based ink.
Finished size: Approximately 14.5 inches in. wide x 8 inches high with a 4” gusset.
Two internal flat pockets.
I take extreme care in everything I make, but because this item is handmade, the print / pattern may vary.
This will be shipped by me from Portland, Oregon.
